December - Coop's 1st Christmas

Lynn has been applying for jobs with the Bureau of Prisons.  Aside from the unfortunate aspect of working with inmates, the pay is awesome and the benefits are unbeatable. We just have to get in, which seems to be more difficult than we had hoped.  We know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and although we get discouraged when each month passes and we haven’t moved yet, we are happy in Rexburg and just enjoying life with our little guy!

Since we have been hoping to move soon, we put our condo on the market this last May (still for sale!!! Someone buy it!!)So, for that reason, a lot of our stuff is in storage; including all of our Christmas decorations.  I guess I am just too lazy, but we decided to not put anything up this year.  Luckily, Coop is too young to know the difference.  Lynn’s family is only about 15 minutes away, so we bumbed off of them and helped decorate their tree.  I’m afraid Lynn and I are both a little picky when it comes to presents even, so we pretty much know everything we are getting if we don’t already have it but now that we have Coop, we get to buy for him and surprise him.  I probably spent more than I should have given that he is only 4 months old, but hey, he is our only kid!  We will post pics of him opening his stocking and presents next week!

We made it through half of December without snow which is amazing.  We are both ready to be somewhere warm.  After 7 winters in Rexburg, I am ready for some HEAT! A lot of the jobs we have applied for are in southern California and Arizona. We can’t wait to be able to run outside all year long!

About Us

I’m not sure why I haven’t started a blog before now, but it seems like the easiest way to keep a family journal, so here goes nothing!
Lynn and I have been married for almost 4 ½ years this coming January and welcomed our first child, Cooper this past August.  We currently live in Idaho but are hoping to move soon.  We both graduated college from Brigham Young University – Idaho and Lynn is currently working on his Masters in Leadership through an online university.  We are willing to move just about anywhere we get a job offer although we would like to stay on the west coast so we can be near family.  We both moved all over the country as kids, so neither of us is particular about where we end up.  We were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple on July 19, 2008 and are active members of The Church or Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Our world revolves around our member in our church and our desire to grow closer to Christ as we strive to live the best way we know how.
As I mentioned, we have one son.  On August 8th, 2012 he came into our lives and we couldn’t be any more blessed.  He continues to amaze us each day with his personality and developments.  He rolled over at 3 ½ months and has recently discovered how to scream at the top of his lungs just for fun.  He is also starting to learn that if he complains enough we will come get him, which he enjoys.  We are working on sitting up on our own, so far there is little progress but we’ll get there!
